01 / Project overview
A free accounting product for freelancers and small businesses, bringing invoicing, bills, expenses, reporting, and multi-currency workflows into one focused platform.
02 / The challenge
Small-business accounting products have to make connected financial workflows understandable without hiding the underlying relationships between clients, invoices, bills, expenses, tax, currency, and reports.
03 / Solution
AccountTrail presents the core accounting journey as a clear product experience: users can create invoices, track bills and expenses, work across countries and currencies, and understand profit and loss from a unified interface.
04 / My role
Full-stack product engineering, public product experience, responsive interface implementation, authenticated application journeys, and the UX connecting accounting features into a coherent workflow.
05 / Technical approach
A Next.js product surface supports the public website and routes users into a dedicated authenticated dashboard. Typed frontend components and a consistent design system keep financial workflows reusable across screen sizes.
